Science at Maplewood Canadian International School is taught in dedicated laboratories from Middle School onward, following the Alberta Education (Canadian) Curriculum. Digital learning runs alongside it: the school is a Google for Education school, with Google Workspace and classroom tools used across every grade to support the Alberta programme of studies.

The aim is the same one behind the whole Alberta curriculum: students who can investigate, test and reason for themselves, using real equipment and real tools rather than the textbook alone.

Why choose our Science & digital learning

Science is taught with the equipment in hand, and the digital tools that support it are the ones students will meet at university.

Dedicated science laboratories

From Middle School onward, practical work happens in laboratories built for it rather than at a classroom desk.

Google Workspace and Classroom are used across every grade, and Maplewood Canadian International School was an early adopter of the platform in the region.
