Teaching careers at Maplewood, Abu Dhabi
Maplewood Canadian International School is an Alberta-accredited school in Mohamed Bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi, teaching Nursery to Grade 12. Our teachers are Canadian-certified and our support staff keep a school of fourteen grades running every day. If that sounds like somewhere you would do your best work, we would like to hear from you.
Teaching roles
Teaching positions at Maplewood Canadian International School require certification from a Canadian province, most commonly Alberta, and experience delivering the Alberta programme of studies or a comparable curriculum. We also employ Arabic, Islamic Studies and UAE Social Studies teachers under Ministry of Education requirements.
Positions arise across Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School and High School as the school year is planned, typically from January for an August start.
Support roles
Administration, admissions, IT, transport, facilities, clinic and classroom assistant roles support our academic team. These are advertised as they arise.
How to apply
Email your CV and a short covering letter to careers@maplewood.school with the subject line Career enquiry. Tell us the role or subject area you are interested in and when you would be available to start.
For the current list of open positions, contact the school office on +971 2 552 4223. Shortlisted candidates are invited to interview, in person or by video call for applicants outside the UAE.
Working in Abu Dhabi
Successful overseas candidates are supported through the UAE visa and ADEK teacher licensing process. Teaching staff must hold a degree in their subject and a recognised teaching qualification; the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge verifies both before a licence is issued.
