“Schools succeed when students feel known, supported and challenged.”
Known, supported and challenged
The three words in that line describe what we want for every child. Known means teachers understand each student as a person, not only as a learner. Supported means help is there when it is needed. Challenged means every student is stretched to reach further than they thought they could.
Inclusive education
Inclusive education means building classrooms where every student can take part and make progress. Strong relationships make that possible: a student who feels known and supported is ready to take on a challenge.
From our Principal’s message
Mr. Parsons brings leadership experience as both a Principal and Vice Principal in Canada. In his message to families, he writes: “I believe schools thrive when there is mutual respect, clear expectations and a shared commitment to high standards.”
At Maplewood Canadian International School, we believe strong relationships are at the heart of exceptional learning.
