About the challenge
The Arab Reading Challenge was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to encourage students across the Arab world and beyond to read in Arabic. Participants read books through the year and record them in their Challenge Passport, moving through the rounds as they go.
Our readers
Rima from Grade 2, Taim from Grade 5 and Sajaya from Grade 6 represented Maplewood in this round, each holding their Challenge Passport. Reaching round two takes steady reading over many weeks, and we are proud of the commitment they have shown.
Reading at Maplewood
Reading in Arabic and English sits at the heart of learning at Maplewood. Competitions like this one give our students a goal to read towards and a chance to share their love of books.
We wish them every success in the rounds ahead.
